Skin varies between people and individuals, and there is no single approach to skin care that suits everyone. Genes play a role in determining skin type, in addition to hormonal changes, stress, and illness can lead to the production of oils in the skin.

Oily skin generally has a shiny appearance, enlarged pores, and a tendency to develop blemishes, pimples, and blackheads. These characteristics are the result of excessive sebum production. Sebum is an oily, waxy substance produced by the glands located under our pores. It plays an important role in protecting, waterproofing and lubricating the skin. However, sebum buildup can lead to skin congestion or irritation.

To help control oily skin, there are some ingredients to look for when following a special routine for oily skin:

  • Salicylic acid: an oil-loving substance that enters the pores and absorbs the oil out. This helps open the pores, making them appear smaller.
  • Hyaluronic Acid: It is an intense, lightweight moisturizer that soothes the skin and helps it retain its natural moisture.
  • Retinol: Derived from vitamin A, retinol helps keep pores tight so that they produce less oil. In addition, it targets skin problems such as wrinkles and hyperpigmentation.
  • Glycolic acid: It is considered a powerful ingredient for oily skin, as it helps reduce excess oil, prevents clogged pores that lead to acne, and maintains clear and balanced skin.

The best routine for oily skin care

The first step

  • Cleanse the skin twice a day, in the morning and evening, with AHA & BHA CLEANSER, which exfoliates and purifies the skin, removes dead skin cells, unifies skin tone, and reduces pore size. Although you may feel like your skin is still clean from the night before, during the night the skin is busy shedding skin cells and producing oils. That's why it's recommended to use an exfoliating cleanser, morning and evening.

The second step

  • Use the toner After the skin is clean of makeup and free of oils, it is recommended to use the BIO-CLEAR TONER because it contains salicylic acid and ingredients such as cloves, juniper and hot pepper, as they work to control the production of oils, cleanse the skin and balance its moisture without drying it, and you will get Clear and pure skin.

Step three

  • Skin treatment: Excessive production of oils secreted by oily skin can clog pores and thus cause acne and pimples to appear. It is recommended to use SPOT TREATMENT PURIFYING & HEALING GEL in the morning to reduce oil production and treat acne and blackheads.
  • In the evening, it is recommended to use 2.5% RETINOL SERUM to reduce pore size, eliminate pigmentation, acne effects, and unify skin tone.

Step Four

  • Moisturizing: If your skin is oily, this does not mean that it does not need moisturizing. However, not moisturizing may stimulate the skin to produce more oils. All skin types need moisturizing, but if your skin is oily, you must be careful about the moisturizer that you will use.
  • It is preferable to use creams with a light watery consistency or gel that contain hyaluronic acid and glycolic acid, such as ADVANCED ULTRA LIFT, to improve the skin and reduce wrinkles, as it stimulates the production of collagen and new skin cells.
